Did you know that our Registered Dental Assistants are licensed through the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Dental Assistants must take and pass a Dental Board-Approved course for Dental Assistants that cover: Jurisprudence, Infection Control, and Radiology in order to apply for a state license? It’s true.

Once licensed, RDA’s are also required to complete six to twelve hours of clinical continuing education, each year, in order to uphold and renew their State Licensure.

Also, the Texas State Board requires that registered dental assistants are current Healthcare Provider CPR certified. Every single one of us is certified. Plus, we take an eight hour yearly course on Medical Emergencies in a Dental Office.

In addition, several of our assistants are also Coronal Polishing and Pit and Fissure Sealant Certified, which requires a full twelve hours of yearly continuing education, along with additional State Board approved courses.

Dr. Duffy is a firm believer in continuing education and encourages her team to further advance their knowledge in their prospective field, whenever possible, to offer the best care to our patients.

Oh, one more thing before we go…

Spring Break is Almost Here!

Debra Duffy Spring Break

Just a friendly reminder that the Lewisville School District Spring Break is March 8th-15th. And the Denton County Spring Break follows on March 15th – 22nd.

We are open several days during both weeks, but we want to remind you that the weeks of Spring Break can be pretty busy around our office! There are still appointments available, but they are being filled quickly.

If it’s time to schedule a check-up while the kids are out of school – you can make an appointment right here.

A Healthy Mouth is a Happy Mouth!

Our office was hit hard by water damage from a burst pipe. We're working hard on getting our services back online ASAP. We'll be contacting families next week to schedule appointments.
