February: National Children’s Dental Health Month!

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month in order to raise awareness and promote a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Throughout the year, Dr. Duffy dedicates a lot of time to educate those in the nearby elementary schools and day cares to help promote excellent oral hygiene habits as early as possible.

Debra Duffy Dental Health Month

An Ounce of Prevention…

The American Association of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD) uses the term “dental home”. Here at Debra Duffy DDS, we aim to create a place where your children feel comfortable. Our goal is to create a relationship with you and your kids. We want all of our families to feel at home when they’re here.

This is such a shift from the way dentistry was conducted when we were kids. The dentist used to be a scary and painful place. Not anymore!

As an added bonus, preventative care helps keep your dental costs down as the risk of infection and decay becomes far less.

Is Worth a Pound of Cure

We read recently about a new survey which found that three out of four parents say their kids forget to brush their teeth. I am not surprised by this. But, I do want to remind you to keep your kids up to date with their cleanings and x-rays to help prevent damaging tooth decay.

Regular check-ups go a long way in establishing healthy oral hygiene habits before permanent teeth arrive.

Through National Children’s Dental Health Month and always, we want you and your children to leave our office happy. And, we want to help you keep your smile as healthy as possible, too!

A Healthy Mouth is a Happy Mouth!

Our office was hit hard by water damage from a burst pipe. We're working hard on getting our services back online ASAP. We'll be contacting families next week to schedule appointments.
